How Bradford City Hall appears
Once Tommy is elected to Parliament, the series needs a Westminster to put him in. Some of his office scenes were filmed inside Bradford City Hall, a Victorian Gothic building with a tall clock tower modelled on an Italian palazzo. In the story the office is in the Palace of Westminster in London. Other Parliament corridors were filmed at St George's Hall in Liverpool. The two buildings together let the production create a convincing seat of power without filming in London.
The real place
What you can visit
Bradford City Hall is the working seat of the local council, overlooking City Park and its large mirror pool. The exterior, the clock tower and the square are free to see. The interior is a civic building rather than an attraction, and public access or tours are occasional, so check with Bradford Council if you hope to see inside. City Park is one of the city's main public spaces, with fountains and events in summer.
Council business and events take priority. Photograph the exterior from City Park rather than from building entrances.
Netflix Tudum: Peaky Blinders filming locations ↗City Hall is in the city centre, a few minutes' walk from Bradford Interchange station. City-centre car parks are nearby. Centenary Square and City Park are level and step-free.
